Hi all, does anyone here have the KYB Ultra SR's on a 03 STi with either standard or Ptodrive springs?

If so what's the ride like?

I seem to have the dreaded 'sticking' rear shocks on my STi and was looking at these shocks as a replacement. My current standard set-up is very bouncy and I get a bit of knocking from the rear, so was wanting to know if the KYB's would improve the ride quality and bring in more in line with my old classic I had before.

i have these on my bugeye wrx, i was told that they are the same as the sti shocks, these have definatly firmed up the ride (i can feel the bumps now )
i have them fitted with Tein S Tech springs though. i think it is a great set up. my car is much stiffer when cornering,less body roll and its given my car a great stance.

as far as im aware they are just like standard STi shocks

I had a full setof 4 Kyb's fitted yesterday after the front drivers side and rear passenger side was knocking when going slowly....

I have the standard springs on my STI and it has transformed the ride totally.. now feels tight - not bouncy and is a real pleasure to drive the car without the donk donk noise from the old shocks !

I had a full 4 wheel alignment done today which was recommeded after changing the shocks which has also improved the driving...

Thanks Andy, that's exactly what I wanted to hear.

I think it's time to get myself a set. Out of interest how much was the fitting and are they straight forward to fit, I've been given a few prices by local garages and they vary a lot!
