Question

Come on boys which first do I go and see Trousers and get Eibach's fitted plus Geometry or do I fit 17" wheels first.
Short on cash at the moment so cant afford both.
My car is a standard my99 with standard 16" wheels.

I've recently (well for me) upgraded my 16" to 17" OZ Superleggeras and although they weigh almost the same, the car has started to feel strange while driving on uneven roads. Twitches, bumps and knocks..as if the car is not in fully contact with the road. Sorry for jumping on your post, but would be interested to hear what people say. I've been told to upgrade the springs/suspension, but not if it's a fault I'm not.....need a downpipe

Nigel,

If you can only do one, I would recommend changing the wheels 1st...then later Geometry combined with Eibachs....

GW2000, I would get your Geometry sorted properly (if you haven't had this done) and would recommend PowerStation for this as they are the daddies....

Question

Why wheels first matt? im in same boat.

WOuld have thought springs would give more peformance per buck? or is it to do with paying twice for geom ?

geom is fit and forget unless you bump it, irrespective of wheels, so I was told.

Had another think and if you're only going to do one, I guess in fact wheels are not the best thing to do. Whilst you really could do with both Wheels and Eibachs (and some other handling bits as well (IMHO )), wheels and tyres are likely to set you back £700 or more (if they're new).

The Eibach's & Geometry are likely to cost between £240ish and £350ish....
