Bugeye suspension

Bugeye suspension
Just posting on behalf of my brother who has recently bought a 2001 wrx with 67k on the clock. The car seems very floaty in bends and squirms about under heavy braking, the steering is also very light and is really off-putting to the point where you have no confidence to push it into the bends. The car just doesnt feel very planted in comparison to my classic. Now I know that the bugeye is a lot softer than the classic anyway but this just feels too 'boaty'. Does this sound normal? There is also a knocking noise coming from both the front and back when going over bumps at low speed. Would anyone know what this could be and also have any thoughts on the points above.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Cheers, Barry

Mine's squirming at the moment after fitting ALK so check the front geometry.... as for floaty, yes it's not a classic. Sounds like up-grade time, as the car is nearly 7 years old now and ( I guess ) mostly original.
Shockers may be tired, and knocking....
