Default rear strut brace

hi all, how do u get to the top of the struts on the back to install a strut brace?

Remove the upholstery across the back seat just by the seat belts in each corner. Very tight access for spanners and sockets.

Agree with Graham there, total pig to get good location on nuts to refit and do them up tight. I used a socket set on my new age and ended up using different extensions and flexi shafts to get it on properly...good luck

sounds like hard work, why cant the rear just be as easy as the front???? i'll have a go at fittin it sometime, thanks for the help.

Does a rear brace make much difference on a slaoon? I can understand the need on a 5 door with that great big open space but a saloon has the rear seat cross member between the arches.

Not sure, but I would think any strengthening in the chassis and body frame would be a good thing

IMHO: No.

There is far more movement under cornering loads in the soft rubber suspension bushes compared to the movement in the steel shell.

Just my opinion.
