KYB Ultra SR Shocks
I need a set of rear shocks for the rear of my MY03 STI and was wondering if anyone has any experience with KYB Ultra SR shocks?
They seem to be going for a reasonable price on ebay but dont really want to get them if they're going to ruin the handling of the car. Also from the pictures on ebay it looks like the cylinders are a good bit thinner than the standard units, given the known problems with the STI rear shocks I would be a bit worried that the KYB parts may go out of round even sooner.
Thanks,
Steffen

I bought a set a while back, had them fitted with no problems, i have done about 2k miles and in my opinion i havent noticed any difference in handling or ride, (only that the dam knockng noise has gone).
Subaru wanted over £550 to supply 2 struts, i bought these kyb off ebay delivered to my door for £220.
my brother owns the garage that fitted them and they have told me that the fitting was perfect, the only potch is you have to remove the back seats.

hope this helps

Cheers b11fyn I think they may be worth a try, need to get rid of the knocking pretty quickly before it drives me mad! Lubricant only seems to stop it for a couple of days now.
I've used other KYB shocks in the past, I had the standard KYB's in my old baleno GSR and I had the AGX shocks in my accord type r and I was pretty impressed with both types and I never had any problems with either of them
