Question Uprating your suspension without lowering the ride height?

I know this kinda sounds a bit wierd but I'd like to change the suspension for something a little stiffer.... but without changing the ride height!

Why? because when it snows here I don't want to my beached whale impression sitting on top of the snow..... or snow plough for my local community!

Ideally I'd like something were I could modify my ride height and in snow actually increase it more than standard.

Is there a kit on market that can do this?

Cheers,

Plums.

I do not think so.
If you set the car at normal height and then drop/raise the sping platforms on coilovers the alignment will all go to pot, BUT, if you set is correctly at 'summer setting' and then riase the springs to 'winter' in the snaow the changes may not bother you as you are slipping and sliding everywhere anyway at low speed?

Just a thought certainly NOT a reccommendation.

Cheers 911, indeed if I had 2 set ride heights summer/winter that would be a nice idea!

To be honest I think dropping the height would look good and of course improve the handling but I don't want to be compromised during snow days.

So ideally I would like to lower the height for everday use and as easily as possible increase the height back to standard or even more for snow days.

possible?

Cheers,

Plums

Yes.
The geometry change from stock to 20mm lower is quite small .
A car with the driver only will sit higher than a car with 4 people/luggage and still drive ok.
So:

Coil-overs, set to 20mm lower for summer fast running, and screw the 4 spring collers up 20mm for the winter, back down 20 for the summer etc.

Ok so I'm guessing there's no.....

'oh crap it snowed 15 cm's of snow last night I'll just click up the ride height, only 2 mins of a job'

solution then....

Guess I could go pneumatics , but that would be a totally different price and weight!

Thanks again 911!
