MMM..Sti Suspensions, Prodrive Springs or WAIT?
#1
Hi all,
I've got a doubt: I own a wrx 01 ppp, and wish to upgrade the suspension (better improve the handling of the car). I've got these options: Sti susp package (inverted struts), the recently releasd Prodrive Springs or the incoming(?) prodrive Bilstein(?)package. I would like to know if anybody has compared the newSTI to the WRX with Prodrive springs and if so how the cars behave (ride, precision, smoothness, load transfer, etc). I'm looking for something acceptable in long journeys along with very low load transfer, roll and immediacy (i often drive the car on italian alps, so you can imagine how twisty those small roads are!).
The financial side is not the main point.
Lasly, do you think the incoming prodrive package will be very different from the sti7 settings?
Thank you
Caronte

Another alternative, have had the ScoobySport Leda suspension kit on both our MY01's for six months now. The roads in our area are awful but it is incredibly compliant despite the fact it lowers the front 40mm/rear 27mm. Also easily adjustable for track days. No downside whatsoever as far as I am concerned.

I have heard that people have had to get a rebuild as early as 10K miles, but mostly it seems to be every 20-30K miles...
But I have no personal experience of leda.
I do have the WRX MY'01 Prodrive springs though and can recommend them whole heartedly! I also know TSL do a good set-up using Eibach springs for the MY'01.
