Hi,

I have had a quote for some changes to improve the handling on the above. The items suggested are rear drop links, front anti-lift kit and geometry set up. Do you think this will make any significant improvements or will I need the rear ARB, as reading most of the threads on here this seems to be the first thing that is changed.

yes it will make a difference, not as much as with the front and rear arb's though

I drove the Whiteline JDM STi 7 demo car last year, and if I remember correctly it had the following fitted.
24mm rear arb
22mm front arb
lowering springs (15mm)
steering rack bush mounts
anti lift caster kit
subframe locking kit
heavy duty droplinks front and rear.

The whole lot fitted and set up would be about £1k, but I can honestly say it was one of the best handling STi's I'd driven.

All of the above will help however the most significant improvement in your instance would be to uprate both the front and rear ARBs; what size depends on your intended usage which will also determine any further suspension mods you'd need. If you do decide to uprate the rear ARB I'd also suggest fitting Whiteline's Heavy Duty mounts in place of the standard ARB mounts which can flex damping the response from the ARB.
