Default Adjusting Tein super street damping force

It says in the manual that the socks are shiped set to the hardest setting, the garage that fitted them told me they have adjusted them to the mid setting now, question is does the **** stop turning when u reach either the hardest or softest settings on them cos the manual says turning past the hardest setting will damage the shock... Dont wanna wreck them but they seem real hard now and i wanna try em on the softest setting...

Well i was told ....

To adjust turn clockwise to the hardest setting. Then u know where u are so to speak. It stops at the hardest setting.

Then 16 clicks the other way is as low as u can go without doing the abovementioned damage.

So just count the clicks.

I run them pretty soft day to day - also have 22mm arb's

The garage that fitted mine told me they were set to level 12 for running in so I presume from this that I am onnly 4 clicks one way to the softest setting.

Depends on the road and the settings really - but on soft settings on poorish roads it works well.

Seems adaquate for street and the odd track day - IMO

Trying them out on their first trackday on sunday. Going to leave the settings as they are till I get used to the driving style.

can anyone tell us how your getting on with the teins? lots of people say they're rock hard, are you getting enough adjustbility to cope with this? or does it not bother you? cheers, andy

Been driving with mine for 2 weeks and the ride is very firm, Have it setup 1 click from full soft all round and that seems pretty good for all round bumps etc round my way, mine is also very low which dosent help but maybe if i was more sensible and had the ride hight higher to say like the prodrive spring hight then it would be softer again, not so bad but u do feel the bigger bumps and potholes in the road.

I use them in my car for about 20 months. The real transformation was after the EDFC installation, you can do anything with this.
Here in Greece the roads are crap and i have setpu them 2clicks from full soft for every day use and they are fine.

doesnt sound too bad, i used to have to turn around for roads with speed bumps/potholes in my old 306 cos the coilovers were so hard and low, so the teins dont sound too bad! ive got a reasonable ride high as well on the scoob might purchase at set with the EDFC. cheers guys.
