Default Fitting advice required front ARB!!

Hi there, well got my adjustable Whiteline ARBs today from DemonTweeks Have just fitted the rear one no problem at all, but went to do the front one and it looks a bit more time consuming (it took 20 mins to remove engine shield thingy!!!) I then decided to put it back on and try again this weekend as the light was starting to go. I've sussed I need a small 12mm socket to remove the chassis mounts (and 7 double-jointed fingers on each hand) but does anyone know if I have to also remove what looks like the front diff plate fingymajig in order to slide out the ARB!!!
By the way, the car is a MY55 WRX 4dr. (might help!!)

Any advice, pics or links would be gratefully received.

Thanks in anticipation

Nearly there.

You do remove the center jacking plate off the crossmember.
For so small a bolt they can be VERY tight, so band-aids ready....

The drop links at each end of the bar/lower wishbone can be hassel too, but be patient.

Pleanty of white grease in the bushes!

Also on the new age we remove the large black U shaped crash protection bar. 17mm, 14mm and 12mm bolts at the front, note the lengths too as they are different.

Thanks Andy/Graham for replies, knuckles permitting, I'll post completion details Sunday evening. I drove the beast to work today and very pleased with difference (rear bar set on middle hole). But spent a while last night reading various posts concerning fitting/not fitting front ARB. As its bought and in the garage awaiting fitting, I'm gonna go for it but on the soft setting and fiddle with the tyre pressures until happy.

PS, I flickin love these forums for help/support. I've also owned a MY98 Sport for 6 years and most mods were done in conjuction with advice and knowledge gained from ImprezaSport.net

Cheers again

Fuzz is THE expert, I'm the apprentice, but you will soon want MORE from the Chassis...beware the slippy slope!
