Actually they will fit. But you'll need camber bolts on the rear to get any decent handling, as the classic dampers have offset holes whereas the newage are inline. And you'll need to be careful with springs to ensure they match the damper settings or the handling will be interesting.
I looked into it, and in the end went for some secondhand STI6 dampers and springs.

Keep in mind that they are designed and built for a heavier vehicle. Your best bet is to stick with suspension parts made for your specific application.
