Default Thought it was time to firm up the car not me (",)

Was looking at fully adjustable Teins

Did the Scoobysport Setup ever come out because that looked good?

or should I consider LEDA?

Other suggestions gratefully received

I know the AST's are brilliant.(I race on them as do others)
They are very brilliant if you invest in complimentary mods to suit them.

Talk to Rich over there and please mention '911 sent me' to him.

Phil - I can recommend LEDA B's as I have them fitted and they are obviously local to you - speak to John the Technical Director. However they are not cheap and need rebuilding every 2 years or so.

If I hadn't got mine with them already fitted, then I would have chosen the ASTs as they are much easier to adjust than the LEDA's, plus the feedback is just so good.

I don't think Teins are worth the money with ASTs around - unless you really have to have in car remote adjustment - but that can only detract from their ultimate efficiency.

Just my two-penneth worth

Phil if you are seriously considering the ScoobySport/Nitron set-up why not look at some of the more comparable options that are available now and please don't mention Tein in the same post

Is it available because it was said to be be cutting edge!!

I have looked at the AST's details and they seem to fit into

1. My Budget

2. What I am looking for

I have driven a couple of cars with the Tein set up and have been quite impressed. Am I going to be blown away with AST and others then?

Graham, what is it you prefer over the Teins on your setup, Serious question as I'm looking at Teins for my Road car and something a lil more special for my future track car.

I only have experience of AVO's and AST's.

IMHO: Leave the AVO's completly on the shelf.

IMHO the road spec single acting AST's I drove on road and track with 50/40 N/mm spring rates were superb.
Add to them the ARB's etc and the package is really nice.

As to a more track orientated set-up, then the AST 3-way's are yet another 5 steps up the ladder. They are so tuneable and almost sensitive to adjustment it is like a good engineers steel rule verses a digital caliper, both are great, but the vernier wins.

Avo's are like a broken wooden school ruler.....

There are other ways to see the AST's too:

Service (in the UK) is solely to Powerstation. They are accessable, knowledgeable and honest. In Curtis they have the technician in house, and direct access to 'Mr AST' himself who I have met there.

I suspect there will be a similar set-up in Germany for you.(if that is where you are!)

Secondly, lots of people have bought them. I have not read of anyone who is dissapointed with AST's, and Shaun's car won the TOTB handling course on them.(3 ways as it happens)

finally:

I still drive 3000 road miles/12 hill climb meetings on my 3-ways with hard 60/50 springs, i am so tempted to fit 50/40's again to get a bit of suppleness back but Im driving MUCH more confidently with the AST/Powerstation package under my car. When you ar blasting into a 90 left flat in 4th with a big blunt embankment waiting for you, you tend to hope all will be ok...

Sorry for the long reply, but I love this subject!

Phil,

your more than welcome to drive mine with the Tein full flex fitted.
It's certainly transformed my car.
With the in car control, i can have softer more comfortable ride for the family/everyday ride.
Then at the touch of a button the handling changes yet again...
However the ride even of softer setting is a lot harder than standard, although not uncomfortable. however the harder seettings on the road will bruise your internal organs!
