Question

I've been lookin' around at a few suspension kits and keepin' an eye on comments on the bbs but bobody seems to mention this kit. It seems not bad value, 'bout £500 for uprated and shortened dampers and matchin lowered springs (30mm?).

Does anybody actually have this fitted to their car? If so by how much does it lower, how stiff etc. All the usuall questions.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

Question

Thanks Mo, id actually already seen that but was unsure whether it would be suitable. The P1 suspension is set up for 2 door cars, will this make a difference if i fitted it to a 4 door?

Im still after impressions of the streetline kit tho, guess it can't be that good cause nobody seems to own it .

I can't comment on the P1 kit as I haven't tried it but I don't think you would have any probs.

I have a wagon and have fitted the struts from an STiV type R along with Eibach springs which work really really well.

In total this little lot cost £400 inc. fitting.

two door is stiffer but thats it. Have heard reports of P1 suspension working beautifully on four door cars!

Thanks Mo, my first thoughts were to go with STi dampers and H+R springs (they seem to be similar to Eibachs but lower it a bit more?).

Cheers Adam, do you know anybody with a P1 kit on a four door? Call me a tart but i do want to lower it slightly (25mm f and 20mm r would be perfect) and im not sure the P1 kit would do this???

Tony.

I've got streetline shockers with eibach springs on my 93 WRX.
They didn't lower it much but its about 30mm from UK height.
The ride is slightly choppy at low speeds but very good at high ones! The only thing is that you have to cannibalise your existing strut bodies to insert the new dampers. Fairly easy job really. Alternatively you can buy new strut bodies from various motorsport places.
