Question Help fitting poly Bushes?

Got a powerflex front bush set and tried to fit at the weekend.
Got the ARB ones done no problem.

However the wishbone ones appear much trickier.
When removing the old bush from the wishbone bracket does it just need pressing all from one side through to the other? Or is there a split in the middle?

I see the bush rubber is 50mm ish in diameter with the central tube and another tube around the outside of the rubber that is pressed into the ally bracket. Do you need to pull the middle tube out first with the rubber or go straight out with the whole lot?

I take it you need a hydraulic press to get these bushes out?

Any help appreciated

Its easiest with a hydraulic press to push out the whole bush, but you can do it without a press. It aint pretty tho'

From the inside the oem bush consists of
1- thick inner crush tube
2- rubber
3- thin metal tube
4- rubber
5- thin metal outer sleeve

To remove without a press I -
* chain-drilled the rubber-4 all the way round using a small drill (or 2 or 3, they break easy)
* rip-out the centre parts by any means to hand
* carefully cut through the outer sleeve-5 with a hacksaw in 1 or more places
* peel out the sleeve with hammer and chisel.

Fitting the powerflex bushes is straightforward.

Think I'll go down the press route....
