Default Type R dampers/springs

Are these different to std WRX items?

I have read that they were alightly uprated and the springs are approx 1" shorter? Any advice?

Thanks

Don't know about the type r but the P1 has bilstein dampers with eibach springs as standard. Hope this helps but probably won't.

Type R had standard STI 4 Door strust/spring.

I also thought that P1's had standard STI struts but Prodrivde derived springs???

OK, the PRODRIVE upgrade for the UK cars used Bilstien replacement Dampers.
