Question Classic Suspension Compatibility

I've got 2 questions:

1. My Impreza (WRX MY97) had Tein suspension when it came from Japan, but the previous owner has had them changed to stock. Are teh wrx and wrx sti suspension the same? Is there a way you can tell the difference?

2. I have a pair of stock coilovers from a MY97 1.6 FWD Impreza, would they fit my WRX, and are they the same spec?

Thanks in advanced!

You sould be careful!
The WRX is a powerful car and correct suspension is essential as are brakes etc.
Get the right parts for the car!

(in my opinion)
