Does Gd suspension fit GC's
We are building a tarmac rally GC8 WRX STI V3 and have been offerred some whiteline coilover suspension for the car. The suspension is from A MY02 STI Gd model, does anyone know if this fits the GC8 {classic} WRX. Catalogue part numbers show the same part number for the front but different for the rear, although externally they look similar. Also we are looking at running approx 280-300lb rear springs and approx 400lb front springs. Any thoughts. We are in Australia & there are few tarmac spec classic WRX's being used for this here, so info is a bit thin. Thanks guys..
Your best source of info is probably the Whiteline Q&A forum - very helpful.
I think the bottom bracket holes will be in a slightly different position making the use of camber bolts in the rear essential and even then difficult to achieve much -ve camber. Alternatively slot the holes + weld on washers to locate the bolts in the right place.
If these are the road/circuit spec units with 50/40 N/mm springs as supplied then you will need them revalved to suit your spring rate and application. Also pay close attention to the bump-stops.

They are not interchangable. The lower brackets are totaly different shapes, a GC with GD's fitted will sit miles to high.
