Thinking of Lowering my Scoob, Advice needed please!!!
What are the best springs for my impreza, i have a 2000 V plate UK impreza and want to lower the car, not too low but just nice but still want to keep it drivable i.e not a really stiff ride.
Can any one reccomended the best springs?
Have been told that H&R are possibly the best to go for, seen a set on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MESE:IT but would like your advice!
I have 18's fitted with 215/35/18 tyres so i already feel most bumps in the road! is lowering my car just going to make it even worse???

I went from standard to eibach pro's. Car lowered a smidge, mostly at the front. Handling is much better but the ride is a little worse. The way I described it when I fitted was it felt more "New audi" like. Rough rouds are certainly felt but high speed stuff is excellent and I would highly recommend it. I paid just £150 for springs and used dampers of another MY99.

I've just fitted a set of Prodrive P1 springs to mine along with a set of KYB AGX adjustable shocks. Only fitted them yesterday but initial impressions are good- lowered about an inch and firmed up the ride without being too crashy over potholes. (mine's on 17" rims though).
The best bit is that your local Subaru dealer will supply the springs (which are made by Eibach) for the princely sum of........................£80.35 FOR THE SET!!!
Give me a shout if you want the part numbers

i had tein springs fitted to mine, car now sits alot lower, looks far better. also had the laser alignment done(reccommended) which highlited a couple of factory set up probs.as for subaru spending alot on standard suspension, isnt this the same with all parts with all vehicles? this theory would indicate that no car could ever be improved. complete PISH.

Tein S.Tech Springs for me
They are a progressive spring so doesn't feel noticably harder than normal when driving on normal roads. It is much flatter when cornering, with very little body roll. Lowers the car 30mm.
Comprimises are made in every aspect of car design. Cost is just one of many major factors which restricts engineers being able to spec what they want.

I was thinking about Eibach or Tein springs for my 1999 Classic.
The car has done about 40,000 miles, will i need to replace the shockies aswell?????
If so, what do you guys recommend for fast road...no track use.
