Default handling upgrades on a budget?

i have a 97r facelift na impreza. i am thinking about doing some subtle handling mods. what would be the most beneficial for the cash?. also what are the effects? how much they are? good links? etc etc

was thinking about strut braces? white line antiroll bars? new disks and pads?(was looking at red stuff?) Also what bax box systems are good? as my nice standard one is on its way out.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

IIRC an uprated rear ARB (e.g. 22mm adjustable one from Whiteline) is considered the biggest "bang for buck" handling modification you can make. It's what I'm going to do to mine along with an upgraded front ARB.

on a budget - rear droplinks say £50, then adjustable rear anti roll bar £100 - whole new disk setup well good - pricey though, and a decat downpipe gives best power per pound.

Guessing you mean a sport or a GL???

They do not have a rear ARB as standard so there are two options...

Get Whitline sport ARB kit for about £90 Think this contains 20mm arb plus huge long drop links and brackets that bolt onto the rear of the hubs.

OR

Get Turbo lower track contol arms + 22mm Whitline arb and solid drop links. This will set you back about £200 and will also need wheel alignment sorting VERY soon afterwards. (This is what I have on my sport and the handling is good!!!)

Actually on my sport I have

Ebiach springs
Solid drop links (front and rear)
22mm Rear ARB
Powerstation wheel alignemnt
STi Front strut brace
2 pot turbo front brakes
16" turbo wheels C/W Toyo proies T1-s tyres

If your car is a sport/GL then check out www.imprezasport.net
