Smile Spring rates - Kgs vs Lbs

OK, me being an engineer n'all - cannot work out this relationship.

for example, front springs, 8kg is a stiff rate. So are 325Lbs.

1 kg = 2.2 Lbs, hence mass confusion (geddit?)

Somebody enlighten me, please!!

it is lb/in or kg/mm, have you factored in 1inch = 25.4mm?

I thought it was something like that, perhaps kg/cm and lbs/foot. tried it, didn't add up, hence the post.

Thanks for the info.
