Whiteline Group 4 Coil Overs
Hi All
I'm wondering, with all the other options available on your side of the pond , has anyone tried these and how do they compare?

Cheers, John

I havn't really got to the purchasing point yet, just testing the water! And yes, I know Jamie has them on her RS, but, again, I didn't realize she was a "dealer"!

Jamie works for http://www.allsubaru.com/home.html as their internet parts person, she just started to sell the Group 4's after trying them herself recently.
I doubt you will get any oficial confirmation on how similar the AST and Group4 dampers are, they have slightly diferent specs such as the number of adjustment clicks but i dont know how they compare on the hardware internally.
You off to watch T-Bird this weekend?

You might also want to search NASIOC in the suspension forum for additional reviews (if you haven't already).
Here was mine:

Another thread with good Whiteline input:

Arnie, thanks for the heads-up! I haven't been keeping up with the NASIOC forum much these days, as it seems almost exclusively devoted to the "new age" cars. But I read your links and then some....
John, you might be interested to know that AST claims *they* make the Whiteline Group 4s, but Whiteline swears they don't!!

i had seen that thread before, and the info on the whiteline BBS, but not the last bit about Group4's being assembled in Australia. It's a bit vague though, what do they mean by assembled exactly? You could buy the damper units and just put your own bump rubbers on and say they are assembled in Aus, so thats not really telling the full story.
It doesnt really matter anyway, if the dampers in group4 config are working well, not wearing out and they are good value then they are worth buying. Like all new products they take time to get a market presence and become proven.
You can always spend more on dampers, what matters is if what you buy is good value and does the job you require, just dont expect them to be better than Ohlins or similar high end struts.
