STI V7.....

The car has been lowered, and when i reverse and turn the steering wheel, the suspension seems to knock!

Any idesd what it is??

 

Do you have Eibachs?

If so I have the same noise. Took it to the local subaru garage and the guy there said it was the spring moving in the mount. The noise on mine seams to come from the front drivers side. When the car is jacked up I can rotate the spring a little by hand, about a quater of an inch each way. They said it was nothing to worry about, mine has been making the noise for about a year now and I have done a trackday etc and it has not got any worse I just shut the sound out now!!

 

Have the same thing with my Eibachs, also on front driver's side. Drives me fricking mad .

Does it whenever the wheel drops into an indentation/hole in the road, basically whenever the spring stretches then is pushed back. If that makes sense.

Is there nothing we can do about it?
