I'm looking to get new uprated springs ,i've seen a few different brands and would like some peoples opinions, i've primarily been looking at Eibach,Prodrive and Tein i would be grateful of any opinions on these or if someone has had good results with other brands opinions on those as well.They will be mated to the OEM shocks for now .

i spoke to tsl about this cos the spring that my car came with from jap land are to short they said tein were good but eibach are the dogs bollox cos they are made to be low and work well with the standrad spring shame i've got to rise my car up now though

 

eibach, IIRC, don't lower the car a great deal. a lot of people will say that they lower your car to the proper height, as lowering it anymore upset's thins like the drive shafts and what-not, so you have to workout what you want? i run h%r springs and have done for about 8 months now. think the car looks a lot better, lowering it by about 30 mil all round and so far no probs in the mechanical/drive aspect of it all....besides, they're a bit cheaper

 

Not only do you have to worry about lowering the car and any possible mechanical problems with this (i.e tyre rubbing, front lip spoilers, etc.), but you need to make sure you fit springs with a rate that will match your dampers. Also you need to watch that lowering the COG doesn't unduly upset the handling - positive or negative results will depends on the setup, but it can induce more body roll if you go too low with just springs.

IMHO Eibach Pro-Kit are a very good match to the OE dampers. They lower the car about 20mm. Seems to have more of noticeable effect (visually) on the rear.

Never had any probs with mine either in over 2.5yrs

I was wondering the same as Chris, my problem being that i`m running 18's. From what i've heard Eibachs are the best though

 

I'm currently considering the same. I'm certain it will be either Eibachs or Prodrive. Only thing is, you're unlikely to find someone with good experience of both as once they're on you're not likely to swap. I've never heard much bad spoken about either, but the comments made about the Prodrives always seem more positive. They are a little more expensive, but going on what people say I think they are probably worth it.
I'll be fitting them along with an uprated ARB (Whiteline), solid rear droplinks (Powerflex) and front ALK (?dunno who makes that).

 

ALK is made by Whiteline. Don't think ALK is an actual trademark of theirs. Could be wrong.

If you can afford it uprate both ARB's. 24mm rear, 22mm front I've heard gives even better results than 22mm rear and OE front (19mm ????).

Aren't the Prodrive springs made by Eibach, just with a different rate to their own spec & painted blue??

Ozzy, yeah AFAIK the PD's are made by Eibach, but are different. Will consider your comments on the front ARB, cheers.
