I have my99 impreza with Prodrive Handling Pack. Been running it now for 15 months and just put 4 new tyres on. How do I check the geometry to ensure even tyre wear etc if Prodrive have set the car up. Do I need to take it to a Subaru Dealer, back to Prodrive or can my local independant tyre fitter do it if I give him the settings???

Kevin,

The best thing to do is to get someone who knows what they are doing to set up the 'Prodrive Geometery' settings on your car.

If you are in the South East there are a few places that I've used, and have been please with the work!

Mill Lane Engineering - Subaru Dealer in Basingstoke
Micheldever Tyres - M3 J8 (highly recommended!)
Power Engineering - A bit more expensive, but closer for me! (www.powerengineering.co.uk)

The may help:

Is it "secret" information, or does anyone know what the new tracking values are?

Been gently messing about with the setup on my motor in an attempt to reduce understeer. Seems to be working so far.............
Had good results moving it from 0-1.5 degrees toe out, to 0 degrees (straight ahead). Just wondering if I should try a little toe in?

S'pose theorists will say that having the wheels straight ahead will make the car follow cambers, torque steer etc, etc, but it doesn't seem to!

Don't ya just love 4wd!!

Have a look on my site http://www.geocities.com/subman2001nz/ have got different setting reconmendations from different companys.

I found a setup very similar to the Prodrive setup to be the best for me.
