Wink

Rannoch,

I guess you're right, but it's not quite '<I>beanbag</I>' soft like the standard UK car. The Prodrive kit is more firm '<I>comfortable chair</I>', but not quite the '<I>park bench</I>' feel of the Japanese cars!!!

Also I have fillings, and plan on keeping them in my mouth!!!

Question

Can I fit a set of STi inverted struts and springs straight onto a UK MY00? I assume the chassis of all these cars are pretty much the same, so theoretically this should be possible.
What difference would this make to the ride compared to a Prodrive upgrade?

Thanks

Exclamation

I think (let me reiterate that, I think!) that the dampers are the same/similar Bilsten units. The Prodrive kit uses different springs, which were chosen for uk roads.

The Japanese kit is quite a bit harder than the Prodrive kit. I've had a MY97 and MY99 UK cars both with Prodrive suspension, but IMHO the Prodrive kit seems a lot more forgiving and comfortable than the suspension on the Japanese cars!

There are two Prodrive suspension kits:

The standard one, which has silver dampers and blue springs.

There's another kit called the 'professional' kit, which has silver dampers and silver springs. This kit also replaces the rear anti-roll bar as well. From what I've read recently about arb, if it's a bigger bar, it will make the car more tail happy!
