P1 suspension with 16" wheels?

I'm looking to change the suspension on my 95 WRX (the current KYB aftermarket kit it was imported with is too hard for me - getting old, see!) and I've been offered some P1 springs & dampers at a reasonable price.
The thing is, I assume the P1 kit was designed to work best on 17" wheels, so would it perform well on my car with 16" wheels?
Any ideas/opinions welcomed!
