I've got an MY01 WRX on order at the moment .

Should I opt for the dealer fitted Sports Suspension, or should I wait for Prodrive, Scoobysport or similar to produce a kit for it?

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but be gentle with a Newbie!

Ive really lost faith in the Subaru dealer in my area (charged me for extras they hadnt fitted, took months to get other bits, delivered car late, over charged me by £600 etc etc) so id go for the SS option. I get the impression that your getting quality gear from SS (not that other manufacturers are bad of course!) that been tested on the car rather than "its sold on a WRX, ford mondeo etc" type outfit.

For the cash (£600+fitting (@£45/hr and they grossly overestimate the fitting time) i remember) the leda's the one to go for - particularly if your going to do any track days!! I like the fact that you can lower the car a bit and remove the massive "on stilts" appearence on the wheels to wheel arches.

Do you really need the sports suspension yet? - i find the standard stuffs excellent - why not try the std car and then if you need to upgrade (i.e. your richard burns) go for the leda at a leda date (soz!)

Im going the SS route myself (once ive sorted the insurance first!!)
