MY03 STi Type UK & Prodrive Suspension Front End Washout
Since having Strut Brace & 18" Wheels Fitted the front end is lighter & the car just doesn't feel right. The Prodrive kit was fitted at dealers but I still couldn't drive it anything like as spiritedly as previous MY00 when accelerating through corners which didn't seem right (More power less speed!), hence the wheel/tyre change.
I'm thinking that it needs the Geometry/Camber/Tracking checking/adjusting so any ideas about a specialist in the Leeds General Area?

Hi Scoobypet,
I know it's not Leeds, but North Eastern tyres in York do a fine job of setting the geometry up. Had mine done yesterday and it's loads better, AND and it's a big AND, it only cost £46.94, not bad at half the price. They will also dial the geometry in to the prodrive setting of 1 deg negative camber if you so wish at no extra cost, but your tyres won't last long.
Se ya Paul.

Thanks Paul, just been to a locally recommended garage (Recommended by an Evo owner!) & had it sorted, loads better (Did same bend +10MPH & it gripped instead of carrying straight on). The settings were wrong by a bit in every way!

Sorry but this presumption is wrong!!
Our recommended settings for our spring kit are for over 1 degree of camber on the front, but this will not give any increase in tyre wear if the vehicle is driven in the same manner as before. What some people have found is that tyre wear is actually reduced as the outer edge isn't destroyed by understeer.
Sounds like it's sorted now

Mike,
I am getting the springs fitted as soon as my local (leicester) scooby garage gets them in for me. When they fit them will the set up be done by them or is it worth going somewhere else to get that sorted?
cheers,
andy
