I am looking into fitting some new springs to my car for a lower road height and therefore a lower centre of gravity. And have seem some Eibach ones for £128+vat
Has anyone fitted them to a MY00 and how much.
Also has anybody had them fitted after having the bumpsteer done.
And lastly how long does it take as a DIY job.

Cheers

Grant

From all reports the eibachsprings are very good. 171/91-188 #/in
Personally I think I want the HR springs. They're stiffer yet.
me and the guys managed to put in new struts and springs in 52 minutes from wheels on, to wheels on again.

Tyres Northampton do it for £200 (+VAT) fitted. Had it on PTMW! (MY99 Wagon) Essentially the same as MY00. Took 'em just under 2 hrs but they do have access to ramps etc.

Having Leda fitted soon so 3mnth (+110 miles Silverstone ) set of Eibachs will be available...

I'm such Rich will confirm this, but the bumpsteer mod is dependant on ride height. If you change the ride height, you will need to get the bumpsteer re done.

Lowering the car will reduce the effectiveness of this excellent mod, as you are bringing the centre line of the hub closer to the centre line of the rack.

Pete:
Unfortunatly for my turnover the Bump Mod is not effected by ridehight.

Altering the ridehight will change the static camber angles

Grant , i changed my springs for the eibach's on my 95 wrx and it only lowered the front by about 10mm, but it's suppose to lower it by 30-40mm , so i was a bit disappointed, but the handling is so much better then standard.
I payed around the same price, and i fitted them myself it was abit of a pig of a job , the front shocks cannot come right of the car because of the brake line is attached to the shock , so you will need a little help.
