Can anyone confirm whether the struts from a Type-R STi III (MY97?) will definately fit a UK MY98?

I suspect the damping has been tuned for STI suspension, which includes nice bits like alloy suspension arms etc... so the dampers may not be perfectly suited to a uk car. They do work very well on an sti III fitted with eibach springs though.
