Question

All this talk of spring rates, adjustable dampers, anti-roll bars, cambers etc has been whistling way over my head! Can anyone suggest any reading (web or book) to give some idea of what affect changing all these things has on the way a car handles, & how they affect each other? I'm not looking to become an expert, just to get a reasonable idea so I can ask sensible questions when I get around to sorting my car's handling.

Hi James,

I would highly recommend "Car Suspension at Work" by Jeff Daniels. It's at home, so I can't give the publisher or ISBN right now, but if you ring Waterstones or whatever I'm sure they can find it for you. It's not too long, and while it's technical it's at the "pop science" level really - no heavy maths or anything. It's fairly up-to-date, too.

PS. It's where I got 95% of my info from, and I suspect I'm one of the prime culprits when it comes to spouting off weird terms around here

Training WRX could help.
All aspects of upgrading are covered.
Scoobymania are the only ones I know who have it in stock.
Contact them via their Website.
