Question

HI, can anyone help a friend of mine is about to change his suspension from a 22B. Will this be better than my standard suspesion or am I better with my own.

Thanks

Hi Pete

You do realise of course that the 22B is wider and you won't be able to swap it all?

I assume therefore you are only referring to springs and dampers and as such can not comment with authority since I have yet to drive a standard 22B on the road.

However, an awful lot of people regard the Jap spec suspension inappropriate for UK roads and so you may be selling yourself short.

On the other hand, when you come to sell it I am sure some punter will be swayed by, "Oh, and it's got the 22B suspension."

Kind regards

Ben

Magazine tests have universally slated the 22B suspension as being too stiff for UK roads.

I would keep your standard stuff or investigate more compliant alternatives.

Question is the 22B suspension any wider than a standard car or is it just the different offset wheels that give it the greater width?
