i have a 94 wrx wagon with bilstien dampers, unknown springs and 17" 02 wrx alloys , the problem i have is a loud/harsh knock from the n/s/f suspension when going over manholes, bumps or uneven road surfaces, The suspension on my car is very firm with upper and lower front strut braces and upper rear strut brace ,
I have bought some new anti roll bar bushes anyway but the sound of the knock seems to harsh for them and they are only slightly worn.
Any help greatly appreciated

It could be a small amount of movement in the top mount. I had this just after I bought my car and new ones cured it. Jack it up and see if you can move the strut/wheel up or down any.

Did it work?

Possibly / probably the wishbone bushes. Change them for polyurethane ones!
