Question

I have just fitted Eibachs to my scoob and although the ride is much improved and I am generally happy with the springs, I would like a slight drop in ride height. Is it possible to achieve this by removing rubber mountings or is this not a good idea. Also I am getting a strange noise from the struts when turning to full lock any ideas how to remedy this?.

The springs will take a few days to settle, though the drop on the Eibachs is not huge it does make a visual differance.

Does the noise sound like a "twang" the spring hitting something?
If so I suspect your spring top mounts are not fitted right.
The hole for the shock strut is not in the centre of the mount meaning if you fit them wrong they are too close to the inner wing and can hit it when on full lock or going over a bump!!

Do a search and the are quite a few threads on fitting springs.
