Suspension to cater for heavy ICE competition
#1
Model 1999 T-reg impreza turbo 2000. 4dr.
Planning on installing 3 batteries and 6 x 12" 1kW competition Subs in the rear, converting interior into 2 seater and using rear for ICE install professionaly.
Im thinking with all that weight in the back that it will weigh the rear suspension down and maybe ruin them.
Is it possible to get the suspension stronger or higher? What would be the best?

I'd get a set of AVO coilovers from TSL. I fitted a set to mine for handling and they are great IMHO. You have both height and damping rate adjustments. The back of an impreza is much lighter than the front, so with extra weight in the rear () you will still be able to stiffen up the rear, and should still have a balanced car
I paid £700 ish, but Paul (TSL) should be able to help you
Sounds like you have a rather mental system to build

Yea, very mental sound system.
Thanks, was mainly curious just incase different suspension from standard would some how ruin the abs system, something similar to that AWD they fit to the WRX's.

I've had no problems with my ABS system since fitting the coilovers, and I'm sure the extra weight won't matter. The ABS system should be looking for a locked wheel, no matter what weight was being carried on that wheel.
