STI5 4 door suspension -> MY98 UK - arb questions
Hi,
I have fitted four low mileage struts from a '99 STIV to my MY98. I'm quite pleased with them, but feel a slightly strange response on turn-in, as if the roll resistance added by the anti toll bars 'lags' steering inputs slightly, leading to uncertain feel on turn-in.
Can anyone tell me what the dimensions of the arbs fitted to the STIV and my MY98 are?. If they are the same, would fitting solid droplinks or arb bushes help at all?.
BTW, I'm running on 205/50R16 tyres - is this 'squidgy' turn-in attributable to this?.
Any other tips or pointers would be appreciated...
Cheers,
Alex

STi has solid droplinks as standard, but I cannot give you a definitive answer on relative swaybar diameter
Whiteline site has a chart which shows the percentage change in roll stiffness when changing swaybar diameters
http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/bulletins/010barup.pdf
I also have a MY98 UK, which now has Whiteline rear solid droplinks and rear adjustable swaybar, and would recommend them both

I doubt your tyres are factor if they are in good condition and correctly inflated - I also used to run 205/50R16
