I am currently looking into adjustable strut top mounts.
MRT stock to types one for road use with a bush fitted to reduce NVF (noise) and one without for motorsport use. Yours may not have a bush hence the noise. Just a thought

I agree the noise is most likely due to the pillowball mounts. This gives better steering response.
What are the spring rates on your coilovers? If too hard, this is what causes the inefficient low speed absorption characteristics.
What can you adjust in the hydraulics? Bump? Rebound? Both? Separately or not?

The cusco top mounts with cusco hard suspension are very noisy. Mine used to creak a lot especially when cold. Fitting both top and bottom front strut bars helps the suspension work a lot better, but doesn't reduce the noise. I have now replaced the cusco suspension but kept the pillow mounts with AVO coilovers, and it still creaks but not quite as much, so most of it must be down to the topmounts.
