Geometry Settings (MY01)
#1
I'm not surprised the dealer says its within limits, if the MY01 is anything like the MY00 then i think it would actually be hard to have geometery outside the specified limits, the recommended range is so great, for toe particularly. Something like + /- 3 degrees it says in my handbook.
For minimum tyre wear then you need toe and camber angles set to zero, front and rear.
My own preferance is front and rear camber 1 degree neg
Front toe-in 10 minutes, rear toe-in 5 minutes.

Talk about pain in the rear, all i want is my car not to destroy its front tyres in under 5 months (All motorway driving).
Its been checked twice on my dealers all singing all dancing new 4 wheel laser unit and it still isnt right.
Somebody somewhere must have the correct settings so i can give it to my dealer to set it up.
The outside of the offside wears and the inside of the nearside wears so i know its down to camber but they say it's within limits.
But something is out as its destroying the tyres and now with 2 new ones on, it pulls like a dog on a lead to the left when driving straight.
I'm not interested in driving to TSL/Powerstation to be fleeced for £110 as i've already paid my dealer.
I need settings that wont cause uneven wear to my front tyres as i'm on the motorway most of the time.I dont need fabulous handling and dead tyres in 5 months.
Thanks in Advance
Zippy.
