Shock Asorber gone ??
Erm been out today with family , plus grandma in back ,,,,, when i went over a slight bump in the road the rear passenger side went "KNOCK" like it bottomed out and hit the end stop ? also going over a hump bridge i heard the wheel rub on the wheel arch ,,,,,, this was all just on a normal drive out to see santa , if this is normal then the car is going
Is this a rear shocker gone ? only had car 2 weeks

sounds like its knackered then. Unless you had someone really heavy in the back it shouldn't hit arches.
Press down sharply on the back corner of the car and let go. It should come straight back up with less than 1.5bounces (i think). If not its buggered. You said it's a MY00, so it should be still in warranty if it's a UK car.
They'll have to sort it for you if its buggered I would have thought.

Could be - is this a new shape WRX?
I've had one failure (nearside rear) and I reckon the offside has gone now too. Tell tale squeek at low speeds - also check inside the wheel arch - is there any oil on the spring? Leaking dampers seems to be a common fault.
