Do they actually put their name on such an item and if so do you have to buy it through the dealers like all other Subaru 'bits and bobs'????

Any one which is solid. Personally, I bought the Cusco one which is very nice but there are plenty others which are good like the Whiteline, Powerstation etc.

Cheers Matt,
Cusco strut braces are quite expensive if I remember right but they look good as well as do the job they're intended for.
Looks like it'll be one of those please Father Christmas

Rasher,
I changed the front upper brace on my MY99 STI-V from the STD Carbon/Alloy jobbie to a Cusco Alloy brace, feels much tighter now, the STI one is approx £300 to buy new, wheras the Cusco is only £160 so its cheaper and better imho.
