Hi guys. Did a track day in my spec d the other month and thought I'd sort this out before the next one. The suspension's standard by the looks of it and I'm running Goodyear eagle asymmetric 3.
My problem is that the tyres wore on the side walls worse on the passages side. So much on the front it split the tread away from the side wall and had to be changed.
I guess this is suspension not being good enough for the track?
But why would this cause the wear on the side wall?
What would be the best way to solve this?

What are your current alignment specs?

40psi front and rear tyre pressures, as a starting point, when hot.

Whiteline kca335 off-set front top mounts.

 

Your tyres are road tyres and not designed for the temperatures.

The sidewall of the tyre is too soft and the cornering forces will make the tyre roll onto the sidewall. If using road tyres I used to run them at max pressure to help with the rolling but you would be better with a tyre designed for track work.

It is nearly always the near side that wears the most because most tracks and circuits are clockwise.

The problems mentioned above will destroy a new set of road tyres in a day, sometimes less depending on how hard you are pushing.

 

Cheers for the replies. The suspension is all completely standard. That makes sense with the tyre pressures to be far to them they were brilliant loads of grip. I think I was a bit naive in thinking it would handle better out of the box and not roll so much. I've done a few on my bike which I ride there take a few psi out of the tyres do the day at the track then ride it home with out a problem.
