Default Front springs advice please

Hi all

My 2003 blobeye STI typeUK has suffered from a cracked front driverside spring.

Other than going to Subaru, who have quoted just over £600 for replacing the front ones, is there another option?

I don't need it lowered from standard height and it is driven like I'm driving miss Daisy. I love the car but don't really have the need to drive it hard.

Ideally would love to just have a decent smooth ride.

Thanks

Any local motor factors will get you a spring for less than a hundred quid.

Easy to source a secondhand part from a breaker.
