Default Suspension - creaking/knocking

Hi Guys,

My rear suspension has started creaking/knocking at slow speeds and I was thinking of upgrading to coilovers. Are BC the ones to get? Is it a worthwhile investment, or should I just buy stock suspension?

My car is an 05 WRX with minimal modifications. It's also due an MOT soon and I'm unsure if it will pass with the suspension as it is currently...

BCs are decent kit consudering their cost.

I would check droplinks first as they tend to crack

Thanks for the advice, I recently uprated the droplinks and ARB to whiteline items. Could this have put more strain on the original suspension, wearing it out more quickly?

No there shouldnt be any additional stress for OEM suspension parts.
Was your suspension knocking before recent upgrade?

No it wasn't, but the knocking/creaking didn't happen straight after it was fitted, it only started a couple of weeks ago, wheres the new ARB and droplinks were fitted about 3 months ago.

If you have an option to lift your car do it and give her good shake around suspension parts. It will take you just few min and if still all is in perfect working order then yes you need new shocks

Thanks for the advice

Yeah I was thinking of taking it to my local garage and asking them to have a quick look for me before I go and buy new suspension. (They are good guys and friends of the family that work on all our cars so won't rip me off lol)
