KYB ULTRA SR SUSPENSION
hi everybody, i recently bought a blob eye STI which i later found out whilst changing the brakes that the suspension struts are gold KYB ultra sr and the green springs i have told are made by TEIN.. to be honest the car is too low for me as it struggle to get onto driveways and kerbs without ripping the underside of my car off.. does anyone know if i can keep the KYB ultra sr struts and put taller or even standard springs on the car to raise it up more, even -10mm aftermarkets springs will be enough as i think the TEIN spring are -35mm.
any info or advice would be brilliant.
many thanks

hi thanks for your reply, is it the springs which gives u the height of the car and if i got hold of standard springs will they work on the kyb aftermarket struts as I'm not sure if they are shorter than standard struts. sorry if i sound thick I'm an electrician not a mechanic lol

Yeah the Ultra SR shockers have a long enough range of motion to deal with the spring height change.
The Ultra SR's are stiffer than the OEM STI shockers also. (theres %'s somewhere online)
Putting on OEM STI springs should raise your car around 20 to 35mm~ depending if its 35mm or 50mm drop.
