Default How does a v5 type r on standard suspension handle/ride?

I have a v3 type r that currently has Leda B coilovers which I find too harsh even on the lowest setting. I have a set of refurbed sti v5 struts with the standard black springs.

So how will it handle/ride on these?

The only suspension mods so far are a whiteline 22mm rear adj arb on middle setting and solid rear droplinks, nothing else.

I like the coilovers for near enough zero body roll but get them on even a slightly bumpy road and it skips round corners like rolf getting out of the prison shower.

If you like blasting A/B roads, the set-up will be nice - you'll have the travel as the springs will not induce lowering. The 'pink' (red) inverted dampers do a decent job, if a tad nuggety when speeds are slow

The trade off will be looks as the car will sit higher.

Personally, I would go for it and enjoy the car. It's very difficult to find decent springs for the classic, and you have them

Cheers for that. I have an inch between the tyre and arch with 215/45/17 tyres. Is the standard setup much higher?
