Yes as can be seen from the pic the ecu is a 3 plug, suited to 1997 to 1998 V3/V4 cars.

I'm not sure why your wanting or needing a 3 plug for your car, as your car should be a 4 plug V1/V2 Ecu.

 

Its not the one I'm the picture we are talking about, jtr typera had another one for sale hence why i was cheering the plugs. I checked and the ecu in my car is an 8s ecu with 3 yellow plugs going in to it, is this not normal in a1996 wrx

 

Mark seems like you have an early V3 WRX hence why you do need a 3 plug..... The advertised will be the correct Apexi for your car and all is normal with your car.
