Spec Mini Twin Plate clutch kit
Hi all
I have had this clutch fitted on my bugeye for about 2500 miles, fitted by TFS Racing.
I was planning to do an engine build to increase power so felt it wise to replace the nearly new OEM clutch prior to this rather than destroy a perfectly saleable item and then replace the clutch.
The clutch took some getting used to because of the speed of engagement. Since doing the engine build and running the new engine in, I have changed cars and sold the 2.1 stroker the mini-twin was fitted to and am having a forged cdb 2.5 built.
The mini-twin is rated to over 750 ft ib and having realised there are single plate options for the power I am going for (500/500) I would rather have a less aggressive drive, so this clutch is up for sale.
The new engine should hopefully be ready in the next 2 weeks and if this clutch doesn't sell I will keep it and have it fitted. My plan is that should it sell to go for a ACT clutch.
Kit includes:
Clutch,
Flywheel,
Hydraulic release bearing and hoses.
Price £470 delivered.
Thanks
Pricey

Pictures of the clutch and flywheel removed from the engine with release bearing.
It is clear from these pictures what little use the clutch has has, virtually no wear to the discs.

Right here goes,
Aggressive? Well I have not tried another twin plate to compare it to but is is pretty much off or on. If you get the revs up to about 3k it is not to difficult to be smooth with it,
It was fitted by Stew at TFS racing in Aldershot, he is quite well know around the west London area and has a website.
I have not used for any drag racing or launching. Approx 1000 of the miles it was on the car the engine was being run in,
They are about £1500 new with the flywheel and hydrolic release bearing,
It fits a 6 speed.
I couldn't tell how much has been taken off as I didn't measure the width when it was fitted but there clearly plenty of meat there from the pictures.
I think that is everything.
Pricey.
