No mate they aren't the same. Iv owned both cars and they aren't. It depends on the year and import etc. But Forge will tell you the same. WRX and STI commonly have different valves but sometimes are the same depending on how lucky you are.

I bought an STi top mount intercooler for my Bug WRX and the dump valve was a simple swap........I thought they were the same (bug / blob)

Been working on Scoob fr a while ad owned 6. Trust me the are different depending o year and whether hey are import or not.

I wouldn't say it if i hadn't run into it before. Its only hppened twice but twice is enough to check. Lol

Classics are different to newage etc but the newage blob / bug are the same for the STi and the WRX

My blob and Bug were different. And some of he Hatches are the same s the newage Standard valve. But some even with the same plate have a completely different valve all together. Very odd.

That's odd as they didn't do much mechanically between the bug and blob variants (not including spec c etc) so they should be a straight swap ............. wierd

I know tell me about it. John said its sometimes due to import etc or type. Theres only a few varients and you dot often com cross them. On forges site theres 3 pages of dump valves that are all different fitments etc all for he same cars. Its joke. But thats what happens when you buy Jap. Lol
