Subaru WRX / STI Up-pipe + External Wastegate TIAL 38mm
TurboXS External Wastegate Uppipe Subaru Models (inc. 2002-2011 WRX / STI)
TurboXS introduces the externally gated uppipe. The features include thick flanges to reduce gasket surface warping and to promote superior sealing. Each Uppipe is TIG welded to accept a 38mm wastegate flange to allow phenomenal boost control.
The advantage of the External Wastegate is to help the turbocharger operate more efficiently. This is done by relieving a large amount of back pressure pre-turbine housing. Less restrictive turbine housing will allow you to run higher boost pressures which typically results in more horsepower and even the ability to run higher ignition advance if needed. It is common to see a 15 hp to 30 hp gain when going from Internal Wastegate to External Wastegate setups. When boost is held flatter throughout the rpm band, the result is higher horsepower numbers at less peak boost pressure vs. the Internal Wastegate.
TIAL 38MM (genuine) external wastegate 14psi spring
Polished Silver...The most commonly used TiAL wastegate. Has heavy duty 347 SS alloy used in valve and valve housing. 17-7 PH SS actuator spring and high temperature silicone Nomex reinforced actuator diaphragm gives rock solid boost stability. Has superior product life under the most demanding conditions. (Turbo rotary applications 2000F (1093C) exhaust temperatures, etc.)
DUMP Tube
Everything in great shape, just 500 miles.
I have more pictures, please contact me.
