Cool PSI3 ECU Data Monitor and mounting pod

I've recently sold my 2003 STi, and removed this from it as I had a buyer lined up for it - though this buyer has subsequently also sold his Impreza and now doesn't need it - hence I'm offering it on here.

It's the VFD blue two-line display version, with EcuTek user tuning features, etc.

Sold with the mounting pod (that is from my 2003 blobeye STi) and mounting screws, and OBD cable - everything required.

£ 170 + postage (or collection from Swindon, Wilts).

As installed in my car:

So is it meant for a classic? Will it fit my 1998 model?

As I said, it’s from my 2003 blobeye STi - so I know it’s good with that.

The mounting pod is a direct replacement for the 2003 Blobeye clock on top of the dash.

The pod therefore won’t fit a Classic, but I have no idea whether then PSI3 monitor itself would work with a Classic.

I didn't have it enabled for my EcuTek ECU - but if you do have the feature enabled in an EcuTek ECU remap, then there are various "User Parameters" that can (apparently) be adjusted via the monitor.

Don't know much more than this I'm afraid, as I didn't have access to it on my car.

Will it work with a JDM import? I'd heard that some of the ODB readers and software have issues with imports (specifically 2003 JDM STI)

Thanks

According to the EcuTek manual that I have, it will work with :

Impreza WRX & STi
- US WRXs - 2001/2002 - 2003/2004
- EU WRX - 1999/2000 - 2001/2003
- Japanese WRXs - 2001/2002 - WRX Type 5/6 RA - 1999/2000 WRX
- Japanese STIs - WRX STI Type 5/6 - WRX STI 2001/2003 - STI TwinScroll
- European STIs - Prodrive P1 1999/2000 - STI Type UK 2001/2003
- US STIs - 2.5 Litre STI
- Other STIs - SA/AUS Spec. STI.

Forrester
- Forrester Turbo S 1999/2003
- Forrester STI 2001/2002
- Forrester 2.0 GLS
- Forrester 2.5

Legacy
- B4 Twin Turbo 1999/2003
- 2.5 GX
- 2.0 GL
- Outback 3.0, H6

...so your 2003 JDM STi is included. Probably would be good to get feedback from someone who actually has a PSI3 monitor on one to be sure though.

It's just a standard OBD cable - so assume it would work on any supported vehicle with an OBD port

It has connections for:

- Warning / shift light
- Water injection
- Oil pressure sensor
- Oil temp sensor

All of these obviously require additional hardware etc in order to function.

This is currently still for sale. Whilst I've had a few PMs with various users expressing interest, I've not received any payment for it from anyone yet - and hence it's still available.

Not in a rush to sell it - as it's a great unit, not used very much (my car, that it came from, did 545 miles over the last 5 years!), and they don't come up for sale very often... especially not with the DIN gauge pod.

Would this work on the MY00 classic ?

I guess all it needs is the right pod ?

Thanks

Steve

Whilst I've never tried it, as far as I can tell from the documentation (that I posted an extract of above, with the supported vehicles) - yes it will work with a MY00 Classic.

You'd need a DIN mounting location though, yes.

I also don't intend splitting the pod and monitor, so they'd come together as a package - and if you don't use the pod, you don't.

Not an easy one... I've tried looking around, and the closest possibility I can find is part no. H0010SA000

However, you don't want to google that and look at the price!

Dunno what you mean?

If you have an LED mounted in your existing clock pod thing, then you just drill a suitable hole in this mount to fit it, I guess.
